Milky Way rising over Mono Lake
somewhere in a galaxy not so far away...the Milky Way is rising over tufa formations in Mono Lake, high in the Eastern Sierra at around 7000 feet.this place definitely looks like a distant planet!one of the oldest lake in America, the tufas were formed underwater eons ago,and now stands on the shore of the lake.the tufas were lit by a 28% crescent moon that added some nice side light to the scene.i thought about and tried some light painting here but the moonlight was way sufficient.i always wanted to shoot the Milky Way there and was not disapointed:)
